Vermont requires all students ages 15-17 who wish to drive to take a Driver's Education class with a certified instructor. The course is 30 hours of classroom instruction, six hours of driving and six hours of observation. The class focuses on the basics of safe driving and serves as a basis for a career of successful car operation. Classroom exercises are tied directly to the work in car. Enrollment is limited to 30 students and the cost, including a road test, is $850.00 per student. Please contact us for more information and to reserve a slot. A deposit of $100.00 is required and payment plans are available.
As per DMV regulations, the first class is in person at the Lincoln Library, Lincoln, VT the first Wednesday of the starting month. We begin Zoom sessions the following Tuesday from 6-8pm. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Driving is arranged in several locations: Bristol. Randolph, Montpelier and Hinesburg. We usually drive after school with some Saturday mornings available in both Bristol and Hinesburg.
